Trusts

Northern Illinois Estate Planning Attorney

Protect Your Assets in a Trust

If you are concerned with protecting your property and avoiding probate, creating a living trust may be beneficial for you. Whether your property is difficult to manage, is administered by someone else or is located in a different state, a living trust can help ensure it is properly distributed after your death.

At my law firm, The Law Office of Danielle E. Colyer, I work with clients throughout Northern Illinois and the greater Chicago area to help them prepare trusts. To schedule your free initial consultation, contact me online or call 1-866-661-9795.

Why Should I Get a Trust?

Unlike a will, a document explaining how you want your assets distributed after your death, a living trust is used to avoid probate. While you are alive, the title to your assets is placed in the trust with you serving as trustee.  At the time of your death, but the trustee changes to another person without having to re-title the assets.

How Do Trusts Work?

When I meet with clients during their initial consultation, I explain their legal options and variables associated with each. With over 16 years of teaching experience, I am committed to helping my clients understand options and giving them the information they need to make informed legal decisions.
